Tall tail’s, baking for charity, wet adventures and spooky parties!

October is always a busy month at Le Hérisson bilingual nursery and preschool. We have been visited by local author Cate Douglas who read to all the children from her book, Poppy’s Tail. We’ve all enjoyed having our school photo taken and we’ve raised money for local charities including Shooting Stars Childrens Hospice at our Bake A Cake sale. Thank you to everyone who baked and bought and ate cake!

Later this week the children will be visiting the Wetland centre in Barnes and we finish this term with a spooky Halloween party.A quick reminder that we try to utilise our outdoor play area as much as possible so even though it is getting chilly and wet (!) the children will still be spending time outside. Please make sure they have appropriate clothing including a nice warm coat. Finally, I’m sure many of you will be attending local bonfire and firework displays over the coming weeks. However you plan on celebrating please keep safe, here are some top tips on Firework and Sparkler safety.
